POUCH PACKAGING
Advantages:  Low machine investment, small operation space, high flexibility
Applications / Characteristics:  Short shelf life requirements
Material Features:  Tear notch, thickness variation of 3 mil/70 micron standard and high-barrier material available
Disadvantages:  Medium cost per package, higher labor cost, more material
inventory, small manual output

SHRINK BAG PACKAGING
Advantages:  Medium machine investment (Shrink Tank), medium operation space, high flexibility
Applications/Characteristics:  Longer shelf life requirement (functions like a second skin therefore features less purge and longer shelf life), transport and storage package and improved presentation
Material Features:  High barrier material, bone guard and patch bags, thickness variation 2.25 mil / 55 micron standard
Disadvantages:  High cost per package (double as pouch), higher labor cost, more material inventory, smaller manual output

SKINPACK SINGLE PACKAGING
Advantages:  Uniform package, attractive visual presentation, high value presentation, retail display in hanger shelves.
Applications / Characteristics:  Improved presentation and marketability, portion control and value-add features.
Material Features:  Easy peel, high and standard barrier material in various colors
Disadvantage:  High initial machine investment, high cost

There is reason to celebrate at VC999.  In early fall 2007, the five hundredth VC999 tray sealing machine was delivered to one of our customers. The recipient of the machine was Emmi, the largest Swiss milk processor.
